I like the imagination of sheen on the feathers of these dark birds in a dark season in a dull day. Many people cannot realize the beauty of crows. So your ku is a tribute on crows. You know there is a haiku of Basho about autumn and crows. Too late now for a research. Will do it tomorrow. And in classical German poetry the crow was the "Totenvogel" - an animal like the vulture. Your ku is a good contrast to that bad view. And the juxtaposition dull day / sheen of a crow is surprising and comforting. A positive autumn haiku!
for commenting twice. I deleted my first comment becauce I fountd two ugly typos. I repaired it but certainly there are still some mistakes because my English is bad.

Well written. The rain certainly does bring out the sheen.

Your lovely poetry mimics my day perfectly! Well, except it was a squirrel instead of a crow. :)

Thank you all for your kind comments.
Best, Frank...
__Ahhh... the sheen of that crow as seen through the streaks of rain drops running down the window glass. A grand sight. _m
I'm sure that he enjoys, I love the rain, so this beautiful Haiku is very touching :)
