slides into twilight

A beautiful moment of rest after a full day of activity (I mean you, I pretty much sat on the couch all day)

Wonderful haiku.

It's often forgotten that a haiku isn't about a moment, it's more than that, and this proves it.

It's also a fine tribute, but terribly poignant, to one of our finest haiku writers, Martin Lucas.

It was lovely to talk to you on the phone, and so terribly sad as well.

You doubtless know that Martin's body was found last Monday? St Anne's Beach near where he lived in Fishergate, Preston.

my kindest regards,

Alan
