Rudi: I was lucky as the pheasant just flew in from of me. The bird was, I'm guessing about 5 metres away. I was at the right place at the right time.
I just left my camera on programme and extended the lens out to 200mm, which is the equivalent of 300mm for 35mm. Further details are: 1/125 second @ F8, with an ISO speed of 110. I hope that this is of some help.

Could you tell me something about technical details (distance, focus, ...)! Would be interesting for me.
